Brahms - Cello Sonata No.1 in E minor, Op.38, Transcribed for Double Bass (Urtext)

$18.00

Johannes Brahms’s Cello Sonata No.1 in E minor, Op.38, transcribed for double bass, Urtext edition. Notated in D minor and E minor. Solo parts, 24 pages; Piano parts, 106 pages. Available as a PDF download.

Johannes Brahms’s Cello Sonata No.1 in E minor, Op.38 is now available in an Urtext edition arranged for the double bass and piano. In the last decade, there have been a number of fine players that have performed this work on the double bass at the original pitch, but the editions that are currently available for sale have changed articulation markings and the octaves of certain passages. This edition contains no editorial markings or simplifications, making it the ideal edition for players to work from. This edition also contains parts in multiple keys, making it possible to perform in both orchestral and solo tunings.

The work is available with two solo parts and two piano parts:

-Solo part in D minor for solo tuning (sounding in E minor) (12 pages)

-Solo part in E minor for orchestral tuning (12 pages)

-Piano part in D minor (53 pages)

-Piano part in E minor (53 pages)

For any players that are using higher scordatura (high C, high D), feel free to contact me for a solo part arranged to your needs.
